G-Eight Recap: A Collection of Developer and Player Impressions
Hello everyone, this is KO (kkll7952) from FilterGame = w =/
Over the past few years, as the G-Eight Game Exhibition has continued to grow,
it has gradually become one of the most important physical events in Taiwan’s indie game community.
Now that the 2025 event has just concluded,
many impressions from developers and players have begun appearing online.
This article approaches the topic from two perspectives,
organizing several articles and videos worth checking out, along with a brief summary for reference.
1. CANDY HOUSE in the DARK FOREST
A G-Eight exhibition report written by game producer CHAyE (TeaLeaf).

The article provides very detailed explanations from perspectives such as booth pricing and booth design.
For developers interested in participating in G-Eight or other physical exhibitions in the future,
it offers a great deal of practical reference value.
This time, TeaLeaf also prepared a wide range of merchandise and small booklets:
They even set up a message board,
allowing players to leave direct feedback.
This greatly enhanced the sense of interaction at the physical event and was truly impressive.
The article also shares changes in wishlist numbers toward the end,
making it especially worthwhile for developers who care about exposure performance.
In addition, TeaLeaf runs a YouTube channel as well,
continuously sharing development logs and remaining a very active creator.
2. Welcome to Chirpvenience
A G-Eight exhibition experience shared by game producer Miicheer.
Article link: https://home.gamer.com.tw/artwork.php?sn=6257760
The article similarly introduces the choice of exhibition plans,
and shares practical experiences and trade-offs encountered during booth operation.
This time, Miicheer chose an economy-type booth.
How to achieve the best possible presentation within limited space was itself a major challenge.
By using shelves to add verticality to the display space,
they were able to showcase more items while also adding visual depth overall.
This approach is highly worth referencing.
When preparing merchandise,
both flyers and stickers were included,
striking a good balance between mobility and actual booth operation needs.
3. AirBoost: Airship Knight (FilterGame)
This year, FilterGame also referenced related materials.
However, since a very detailed exhibition data analysis was already written in 2024,
this article mainly takes the form of a travelogue.
In addition to running the booth, we also visited many other teams’ booths.
2025 travelogue article link:

This time, AirBoost prepared badge merchandise:
We also exchanged G-Eight event cards with many teams:
If you want to experience the lively atmosphere of the event,
this travelogue is highly recommended, as it records many booths and games.
For content that focuses more on data analysis and performance review,

You can really feel how lively this event was within the community!
Summary
This year’s G-Eight exhibition
brought together nearly a hundred Taiwanese games,
which is truly astonishing when you think about it.
As more and more people become involved in this event,
it’s not just about development anymore—
connections between media, communities, and creators are also steadily being built.
This event made me strongly feel a sense of new hope,
and I look forward to seeing the overall environment for Taiwanese indie games continue to improve.
That’s all for this recap.
Many thanks to all the developers, players, and creators who participated in G-Eight!
We also encourage everyone to continue following
and supporting the creators you love.
