It’s perfect for beginners who want to learn game development, and it has a long, rich history.
The first one I saw was **RPG Maker 2000**, then **RPG Maker 2003**, followed by **RPG Maker XP**, **VX**, and more.
In recent years, starting from **RPG Maker MV**, the series added support for multiple platforms.
The community remains very active, and there are countless resources and plugins available.
Nowadays, RPG Maker is no longer limited to making just RPGs — it’s evolved into a full-fledged **game engine**, capable of creating games of all kinds.
On Bahamut’s **RPG Maker forum**, there’s always lively discussion.
Many developers regularly share their games and talk about development.
