Taiwanese Folklore PvP Game PAGUI-Battle Launches Free on Steam Feb 24

Since it’s the Lunar New Year season, here’s another new game update to share.
This time, we’re introducing a competitive title set against local folklore — PAGUI-Battle.
Developed by Taiwanese indie team padendon,
this is part of the “PAGUI” series on Steam, inspired by Taiwanese folk culture.
After years of development and releasing Chapters 1–3 of PAGUI,
the team announced a brand-new Steam title on 2026/2/14 —
PAGUI-Battle.
This game separates the online PvP mode originally included in the paid title PAGUI 3,
rebuilding it as a completely new free-to-play game scheduled to launch on Steam on February 24!

●Gameplay Features
The game uses an asymmetric 3v1 format,
creating a supernatural showdown between exorcists and spirits.
Players can freely choose between:
The Light faction (humans)
The Dark faction (ghost)
●Authentic Taiwanese Locations
The maps are inspired by well-known places in Taiwan, such as:
Alishan
The Presidential Office Building
Abandoned hospitals, and more
These settings enhance the local atmosphere of each battle.
●Core Mechanics
Three righteous players face off against one ghost player.
The ghost starts off weaker and must move strategically.
Search for ritual artifacts and absorb wandering spirits to grow stronger.
The game also introduces:
life talismans, spells, and other tactical elements for unique gameplay.
●Free Launch + Future Outlook
PAGUI-Battle will launch for free on 2/24.
Detailed monetization plans have not yet been announced, so stay tuned for updates.
Additionally, a live-action drama based on the “PAGUI” series is currently in preparation,
raising expectations for the IP to expand onto an even bigger stage.
