Japanese Indie Game Online Expo 'MY GAME FES Vol.4' Scheduled for December 2026
Japanese indie game online expo “MY GAME FES Vol.4” will be held in December 2026.
The Japanese indie game online exhibition “MY GAME FES Vol.4,” jointly organized by indie developers Terumi Hoshizora and Choryu,
has officially revealed its plans for 2026.
The event is built around the idea of fostering interaction between indie game creators and players,
providing a platform for showcasing games, promoting new titles, and connecting with the gaming community through an online exhibition format.
The event is scheduled to run from 20:00 JST on Friday, December 25, 2026, until 20:00 JST on Monday, December 28, 2026, and will be hosted on the online exhibition platform “PICREA."
This edition continues the goal of being “an indie game exhibition that anyone can easily join.” Whether you are a newcomer just starting game development or an experienced indie team with released titles, the event offers opportunities to connect with Japanese players and fellow creators.
■ Booth Applications Open in June
▶ 120 Booth Slots Available Across General and Adult Categories
Applications for MY GAME FES Vol.4 will open on June 13, 2026, and remain available until October 1, 2026.
Planned recruitment:
General Audience Booths: 90 slots
Adult Content Booths: 30 slots
According to the organizers, any digital game created by an individual or small team is eligible, regardless of age, gender, or nationality.
For overseas indie developers interested in expanding into the Japanese market, the event provides a valuable opportunity to directly reach Japanese players and creators.
The organizers also recommend that overseas exhibitors prepare booth information and game descriptions in Japanese to make it easier for local visitors to understand their work.
To give creators sufficient preparation time, approximately six months have been allocated between registration and the event itself, allowing participants to prepare their projects without excessive scheduling pressure.
■ Wide Range of Eligible Works
▶ Unfinished Games, Fan Works, and Adult Titles Welcome
MY GAME FES follows a relatively open participation policy. As long as at least one playable digital game is available at the booth, exhibitors may apply.
According to the organizers, eligible content includes:
Games still in development
Adult-oriented games
Fan-made derivative works
Free or commercial games
In addition, related merchandise, commissioned works, original music, and illustration assets may also be displayed.
However, adult content must comply with Japanese legal standards regarding content modification and censorship, while derivative works must obtain permission from the original rights holders before being publicly exhibited.
The organizers also announced that games created with PolarisEngine (formerly known as suika2) will not be accepted for this event.
■ Official Discord Participation Required
To avoid missing important announcements and updates, all exhibitors are required to join the official Discord server before applying.
Future announcements, schedules, and Circle Cut submissions will primarily be handled through Discord.
The organizers emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy and respectful community environment.
Participants who engage in harassment, defamation, aggressive solicitation, communication loss, or unexplained cancellations may be restricted from future participation.
■ Join the Conversation Using the Official Hashtag
The official event hashtag has also been announced:
#マイゲームフェス
Participants and players are encouraged to share booth information, screenshots, and event experiences on social media, helping expand connections within the indie game creator community.
